Jayne Svenungsson (with Aaron Goldman, Marie Cronqvist, and Johannes Stripple), Goldman, and Patrik Fridlund will all publicly present research for At the End of the World at Lund University's HT-Dagarna, which take place 14–15 April at the LUX building in Lund. Program researchers Patrik Fridlund and Aaron Goldman – along with their colleague Rickard Andersson – are organizing a Swedish-language panel discussion on 17 April 2023 about the role of conspiracy theories in politics. The event will take place at Lund University, LUX C:121, from 17:15 until 19:00; it will be moderated by Sofia Ulver, and the panel includes Fridlund, program researcher Mia-Marie Hammarlin, and Björn Lundberg. David Dunér has arranged, and is participating in a Swedish-language panel discussion 19:00–20:00 on 17 April at the City Hall in Lund. The panel, titled Rymden — ändliga eller oändliga resurser?, concerns questions of sustainability in outer space. Populism and religion, 9 May 2023
Patrik Fridlund, Aaron Goldman, and their colleague Rickard Andersson will be hosting one additional Zoom seminar this term on Populism and Religion. The seminar, on 9 May, will feature a paper by Antje Jackelén titled “Populism and Its Four Poisonous Companions – A Theological Riposte”.
3. Recent activities and publications by program team members Publications: Marie Cronqvist wrote a piece “Domedagen har aldrig varit lika nära” for Svenska Dagbladet, published on 23 January 2023. Mia-Marie Hammarlin wrote a piece about her experiences with COVID-vaccine skeptics for The Conversation, published on 17 February 2023. David Dunér wrote ”Mörkret i människan”, published in Axess 2023:1, pp. 24–29. Dunér also wrote, ”Det ovan såsom det nedan”, in Hjärnstorm, no. 150 (2022), pp. 54–62. ISSN 0348-6958. Jayne Svenungsson wrote the entry on ‘Millenarianism’, in the St Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology, edited by Brendan N. Wolfe et al.
